How this project was made, step by step.
01 / Script
A metaphor in eight scenes
The script turns the country into a ship: the candidate in the studio, the transition from the gaze to the ocean, the Titanic Brasil with the states on the decks, water coming in, the crack in the hull, the Senate floor inside the ship, the engine room and dawn with the lighthouse.
- Scenes in the script
- 8
- Pre-production frames
- 71
02 / Visual direction
The ship before the film
The Titanic Brasil was drawn in full on sheets: side, front and back views, the decks with the state signs and the hull at dawn, so the ship is the same from the first shot to the last.

03 / References
Transition, water and hull
The hardest passages were studied frame by frame: the eye that turns into the ocean, water advancing across the deck and the crack seen from outside, with lighting and continuity rules for each one.

04 / Visual direction
The Senate inside the ship
The ship's corridor turns into the Senate floor, and the engine room gets valves with what the Senate decides: laws, budget, oversight and balance between the branches of government.

Senators, crew members, orchestra musicians and passengers were defined on character sheets before generating the group scenes.

The ending has its own sheet: the lighthouse, the morning light and the ship sailing again in calm waters.
